Week 4: Summer Conditioning The Right Way

Our biggest pet peeve is all the athletes who go run a mile trying to get fit! There is research backing up how this can quite literally hurt you over help you prepare for a game of quick bursts over 90 or so minutes. Yes, you do need a conditioned base, but conditioning the correct way when looking at muscle physiology and needs of a game does not go along with running a mile at a steady pace.

And off our soapbox. We created a few free conditioning examples that mimic your needs in a game so you can add it into your routine instead of going on a jog.

Watch to the end for an offer we are only extending to SERIOUS athletes like yourself!

SUICIDES: Quick bursts of full speed with small recovery times mimic a game situation.

Areas Improved: Conditioning related to your game.

YO-YO BEEP TEST: This is a common test used for teams at high levels. It better mimics a game situation than steady running and will help you develop the mindset to reach higher levels each attempt.

Areas Improved: Conditioning related to your game.

40 REPEATS: Short bursts with a change of direction followed by quickly recovering and completing the move again is a staple for any field or court sport athlete.

Areas Improved: Conditioning related to your game.
